A Book For Kids As A Friend

Question of children’s reading is often postulated as a problem of “reader’s death”. However while there is a personal reader’s memory of adult people, our children won’t lose reading skills.

If you support reading activity of your child, this will be a good contribution to his future.

First of all, if you want to cultivate love for reading in children, this is you, who should prefer reading to watching TV or playing computer games. Nothing will make books so magnetic for your children as your personal example. Read regularly, share your impressions with family and discuss books with children or in front of children.

First books have a huge influence on kids. They find their ideals and examples for imitation in books. Some personages remain their ideals till the end of the life. That’s why it is necessary to choose and buy good children’s literature, which will help your child to find the right track. Children’s literature generates only pleasant emotions and impressions, and your child will get not only new knowledge, but also good mood.

Reading should be connected with feeling of pleasure from the beginning. Don’t force children and don’t try to implore them to read one more line or page. Invent different maneuvers and games, which will help you to stimulate desire of your child to read, even if he doesn’t understand book’s sense now.

Be glad for every word, which your child reads, understanding that this is one of his small victories.

Don’t draw his attention to mistakes during reading, try to correct them imperceptibly and if it is possible don’t do this at all.

Since childhood read to your kiddy before sleeping. As opposed to animations which free your child’s brain from necessity to think, a book which his mother or father read in silence of a children’s bedroom, makes a kid to imagine everything that he hears, saturating his mind with impressions and craving for reading.

Choose books together with your child both for you and for him. He will start to orientate himself in the wide choice of books. Remember that the majority of children like to read books about adventures. Our children and grandchildren read J.R. Tolkien instead of J.F. Cooper and magic stories about Harry Potter, but it is also good, we think, to support enthusiasm of your child.

Buy him books, which will be the best for his interests and age. Doing like this, you will reduce probability of antagonizing, because the first book can be very boring. After all first books should be pleasant, children should get the taste.

Choose only affecting books, they should be bright, with big letters and a lot of pictures and it should have an amazing, which will be interesting to read. On our site you will find a wide choice of children’s books.

The Top Toys For Xmas 2010

Christmas is always a difficult time of year for parents, as they try to juggle personal finances with getting their kids the perfect and in-demand gift. So to try and give parents a bit of a helping hand, here’s what is looking like being the top toy trends for Christmas 2010.

With the country still trying to pull themselves out of a national recession, spending is at an all-time low and many of the hot toys this year will reflect this, often coming in at £50 or less. With lower prices on the most in-demand toys, parents should have a much better chance of being able to afford the hottest Christmas gifts of this year.

This years top toys, as with many previous years, are likely to include characters from the most popular film and TV shows in the country, as well as some old favourites.

Starting with gifts for young boys, you’ll want to look at what will be the most popular films and characters this year. Shrek, Toy Story and Transformers are all extremely good bets in 2010, with Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story 3 pretty much guaranteed to be a hit. You can expect to see a rush for any Transformer toys, and probably any kind of toy that follows the Transformers mould. With the release of Shrek 4 this year, any toys based on characters from the film are also likely to be very popular Christmas gifts for him or her.

I can imagine RC helicopters, or any kind of remote control vehicle also being very popular with young boys this year.

As for younger females, popular kids shows like Peppa Pig are likely to be hugely popular, with a fairly wide range of toys on the market. Other brands likely to be big this year include Dora the Explorer, the ever-present Hannah Montana and Bratz, who look like continuing their popularity from last Christmas.

Sylvanian Families have been popular in previous years, and it’s likely that they’ll be a hit with young girls this year as well. If your daughter is a little bit older, you could opt for the Kidizoom Camera or a GOGO hamster, either of which would make perfect Christmas gifts for her.
